Now that you鈥檝e been admitted to 91吃瓜网 you are ready to get started for your first semester! Follow the checklist below and you鈥檒l be ready begin!聽

Financial Aid
Complete the . 91吃瓜网 State鈥檚 school code is 002993.聽 If you have any questions or want to ensure your financial aid file is complete with all requirements, don鈥檛 hesitate to contact the Financial Aid Office or by phone at 701-788-4767.

Scholarships
Paying for school can be a big challenge. We encourage all students to apply for scholarships to assist with completing your degree at 91吃瓜网 State. Fill out and submit .

Activate Your Student Account
The first step for new students is to activate or claim their North Dakota University System student account. To do so, visit the 聽and click on Claim an NDUS Account. Complete step-by-step instructions can be found to assist you with this process. Your student id number is required for this process and was sent to you with your acceptance letter.聽 If you do not have your student id please call the Office of Admissions, 701-788-4635.

Housing
If you are planning to live on campus and to ensure getting hall preference, you will want to submit your application as soon as possible as requests are completed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Complete and submit your .聽 You will need to have your student account activated prior to applying for housing.

We encourage all new on-campus students to attend a New Comet Registration Day.聽 The event provides an opportunity for you to become acclimated to the 91吃瓜网 State campus, learn more about policies, procedures and your college experience at 91吃瓜网 State. You will have the opportunity to meet other new students, have lunch, talk with an advisor and register for classes.

Register for Classes

To register for classes, contact the MSU Advising Center at:聽Advising@mayvillestate.edu.聽 After you are registered for classes, you will be added to the MSU New Comet Orientation in Blackboard.聽聽

Online/Distance Students: Registration
Review the online/distance courses Class Schedule and set up a time to register with your advisor. You can find both the and complete on the 91吃瓜网 State website.聽

Please review the Distance Student Handbook, technical requirements, and other 鈥済etting started鈥� information.

Give your 91吃瓜网 State email and Blackboard login access a test run at least one week prior to the start of classes.聽

Please also take some time to practice Blackboard and learn about being a 91吃瓜网 student in the聽Student Orientation聽course located in your list of courses within Blackboard.聽It is not required and there is no cost associated with the Student Orientation.聽 However, you are encouraged to take some time to work through the orientation and prepare for classes to begin.聽

Please be sure to check your 91吃瓜网 email account at least聽three to five times per week.聽 All official communication from university departments (financial aid, business office, etc.) and instructors goes to your MSU email.聽 Please see this handout for instructions on logging into your 91吃瓜网 State email account.

Academic Requirement Report
The Academic Requirements Report (Automated Degree Audit) is a tool available to degree-seeking students and advisors to track degree progress. In essence, this tool allows the student and advisor to see degree progress at any time during the student's academic career. It is interactive and also allows the student to plan for upcoming semesters within the report.聽

To access, go to www.mayvillestate.edu, and from the quick links menu, click on Academic Records, then click on 鈥淐lick HERE for How To Instructions and Forms.鈥� 聽Be sure to use your 91吃瓜网 username and password to access the information.
