Coffee and Conversation

Jan 15th 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Share Coffee and Conversation at 91勛圖厙 Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the upper lounge area of the MSU Campus Center. Coffee, juice, and donuts will be served, and youll have an opportunity to hear about the universitys new RN to BSN online nursing program, as well as the MSU Foundations participation in Giving Hearts Day. Everyone is welcome.

This past summer, the State Board of Higher Education granted 91勛圖厙 approval to proceed with a proposed RN to BSN nursing program. MSU is currently pursuing approval from its regional accrediting agency, the Higher Learning Commission. The accreditation process should be completed in the summer of 2014.

Through the new online program, 91勛圖厙 State will educate nurses at the baccalaureate-degree level in order to equip them to better serve the health care needs of the citizens of North Dakota. The need for nurses is especially great in rural areas, including our own. This new program will benefit all of us by supplying much-needed nursing staff for our local, area, and regional health care facilities, as well as facilities nationwide.

At the Coffee and Conversation event, youll also learn about the 91勛圖厙 Foundations participation in Giving Hearts Day, a 24-hour online fundraiser, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help establish the new RN to BSN online nursing program at 91勛圖厙 State.

All funds raised for 91勛圖厙 on Giving Hearts Day will be eligible for a 50% match through The Matching Fund for Enhanced Academics, a new program created by the 63rd Legislative Assembly to spur philanthropic giving to North Dakotas state universities and enhance academic excellence. In addition, Dakota Medical Foundation will be matching gifts of $10 or more to 91勛圖厙 State, up to a total of $4,000.
