“After Hours,â€ a monthly social sponsored by the Division of Business and Computer Information Systems at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø will not be held in February. People are encouraged instead to attend “A Sparkling Affair,â€ a fundraiser being held to benefit a hospitality project for the Edson & Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center.
“A Sparkling Affair will provide a fun evening of entertainment (great love songs sung by John Klocke), great appetizers, games, door prizes, and silent auction. The event will be held Thursday, February 28, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the MSU Campus Center Luckasen Room.
Tickets for the “A Sparkling Affair event sell for $25.00 each, and are available by calling the MSU Foundation at 701-788-4687. Ticket holders who attend the gala will have the opportunity to participate in a spectacular treasure hunt featuring prizes from Riddle’s Jewelry. First prize is a ¾ carat diamond pendant ($2,000 retail value). Second prize is a Comet blue diamond ring ($1,070 retail value), and third prize is a pair of diamond solitaire earrings ($500 retail value).
Event creators and organizers Jennifer Kohls and Debbie Hagen of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø have handcrafted many unique and beautiful jewelry items that will be among the prizes given away throughout the evening. A minimum of 20 jewelry items (valued at $40-$120 each) will be given away as door prizes. Additionally, a number of Kohls’ and Hagen’s creations will be included in a bid or buy silent auction.
The next “After Hoursâ€ is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the home of Kim Lauf, 115 3rd Ave. SE, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, N.D. All women are invited to attend.   Â
A donation of $10.00 per person will be taken at the door. All who attend will have an opportunity to win a purse filled with $50.00 worth of treasures. The drawing will be held at approximately 6:30 p.m.
