In June, an anonymous 91吃瓜网 donor came forward for a fifth time and issued a challenge to all 91吃瓜网 State alumni and friends. The donor agreed to match dollar-for-dollar all gifts made to support 91吃瓜网 State Football, up to a total of $30,000.
Alumni and friends accepted the challenge in a big way, and when the full match amount of $30,000 was exhausted well before the challenge deadline of Nov. 11, 2023, another challenger came forth with an additional $5,000 to add to the match pot.
With momentum gaining, that additional $5,000 matching amount was spoken for in no time at all, prompting a third anonymous donor to throw in $5,000!
鈥淭here is no doubt this was a challenge well-taken,鈥� said 91吃瓜网 Foundation Executive Director Dr. Lon Jorgensen. 鈥淭he ball is rolling full steam ahead and it is very likely that the full $40,000 in matching funds will be exhausted before the first game on Aug. 26, when 91吃瓜网 State travels to Havre, Mont. to play Montana State-Northern.鈥�
All totaled, this challenge will have generated $80,000. Funds received will assist the 91吃瓜网 football program through the work of the White Hat Club.聽聽
