Plans for the 91勛圖厙 Farmers Bowl 2018 festivities are well underway. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, the festival celebrates the proud agricultural heritage of the area. The MSU Foundation coordinates the event annually. Many community volunteers and MSU supporters work together to make sure this event is successful year after year.

Farmers Bowl 2018 will begin with the Farmers Bowl Field Frenzy 5K run/walk. A majority of the fast out and back race course will be located on the beautiful MSU campus, starting and finishing in front of historic Old Main. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. Race time is 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. The registration fee is $10 per person. The fee will be waived for 91勛圖厙 State students who show their official university identification. Proceeds of this event will benefit the fundraising efforts of the Farmers Bowl. You can register at .

A parade featuring farm equipment, bands, antique vehicles, and floats will begin in downtown 91勛圖厙 at 10 a.m. It will start at north of the Goose River Bank, turn east and travel through town on Main Street, ending at Jerome Berg Field on the 91勛圖厙 State campus.

The corn and hot dog feed will be back this year! Following the parade, everyone is welcome to enjoy corn on the cob and hot dogs under the tent located west of the field. The 91勛圖厙 State athletic teams are coordinating this years feed. Freewill donations will be accepted.

Bring your family and enjoy the festivities outside of Jerome Berg Field after the parade and before the Farmers Bowl football game. There will be inflatable games, a farmers market, face painting, potato sack races, and more! There will be fun for everyone.

The MSU Comets will take on the College of St. Scholastica in the Farmers Bowl football game, sponsored by First State Bank. Game time is 1 p.m. at Jerome Berg Field. This will be the first 91勛圖厙 State game played on the newly installed turf at Jerome Berg Field. Dont miss out on the excitement!

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the entrance to the field at 11 a.m., after which, people will have an opportunity to take a look at the new field. The turf field will be officially dedicated during a short program that will take place at half time of the game. The MSU Foundation Farmers Bowl cash raffle drawing and original watercolor painting raffle drawing will also be held at half time of the game.

The MSU Foundation has traditionally sponsored a fundraising auction in conjunction with the Farmers Bowl. That event is being reinvented and wont be held together with Farmers Bowl this year, but rather will be unveiled at a later date. Look for exciting news about the auction that is planned for Feb. 2, 2019.
