The weekend of June 16-17 marks the 42nd annual 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Golf Classic. Activities are planned at Forest Hills Golf and RV Resort in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State Golf Classic is the oldest medal play university golf tournament in the world and is open to all 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State alumni and friends.
A four-person scramble is planned for 10 a.m. Friday, June 16. This event is being organized by the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Comet Athletic Club, and proceeds will go to athletic scholarships for 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State student athletes. Both men and women are encouraged to play. Those who participate will have an opportunity to win $10,000 for themselves, and $10,000 for 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State in a hole-in-one contest that will be featured! Presentation of awards will begin at 2:30 p.m., along with a meal for all participants.
The medal play golfing event is planned for Saturday, June 17. Start time is 10 a.m. Presentation of prizes begins at 3 p.m.
Also on Saturday, there will be a luncheon for all 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State women. The event will be held at the Izzo’s Sports Bar & Grill at Forest Hills, beginning at 11 a.m. Lunch will be no host, with attendees ordering from the menu.
