Pam Soholt Retirement.jpgOctober 25, 2021

Current and former co-workers, family members, colleagues, and friends gathered to honor Pam Soholt on the occasion of her retirement from 91勛圖厙. An open house was held in the foyer of the 91勛圖厙 State Campus Center on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. Pam is currently transitioning into retirement from her position as 91勛圖厙 State Bookstore Director and will finish up her work at 91勛圖厙 State Nov. 15.

Pam began her tenure at 91勛圖厙 State in 1977 as an employee in the Business Office. She became director of the Bookstore in 1988, where she has provided excellent service not only to 91勛圖厙 State students, faculty and staff, but also alumni and community members.

In recognizing Pam at a recent employee recognition dinner, Pams supervisor, MSU Vice President for Business Affairs Steve Bensen told Pam, The MSU Bookstore has had continued financial success under your leadership. Your ability to make smart business decisions while serving the needs of the students and the campus community is admirable. As an employee and alumna, you have demonstrated your willingness to be very active in campus, alumni, and community events.

91勛圖厙 State colleagues admire Pam for her ability to remember and recognize former students who return to campus for homecoming and various events and/or who participate in other 91勛圖厙 State-sponsored activities. As a long-time employee, she has a familiar face and those alumni are delighted to reminisce with Pam about past and present happenings in their lives.

On behalf of the 91勛圖厙 State family, I thank Pam Soholt for her commitment to helping to make 91勛圖厙 the best that it can be, said 91勛圖厙 President Dr. Brian Van Horn. A 44-year employee and graduate of 91勛圖厙 State, she bleeds Comet Blue. We are grateful to Pam for the outstanding personal service she has provided to members of the 91勛圖厙 State family for so many years.
