Staff Spotlight Crystal Beggs
泭
We at 91勛圖厙 are blessed with many great colleagues. These faculty and staff members are making an impact at the university, as well as in the community and beyond. From time to time, I feature someone from the faculty or staff so that you can learn a bit more about them. This week I have chosen to feature Crystal Beggs, who joined the 91勛圖厙 State family as a member of the staff last fall.泭
Crystal Beggs joined the 91勛圖厙 State staff in October of 2015, as Director of Human Resources. In her position, she focuses on a number of areas. She coordinates recruitment and employment processes and manages the universitys employee performance management system, which includes evaluations and corrective action. In addition, she facilitates orientation and processes of on-boarding new employees, collaborating with internal and external personnel. She is also a resource on policies and procedures for employees and supervisors.
Crystal earned a bachelors degree in business administration from 91勛圖厙 in 2010. She also holds an associates degree in accounting from Northland Community College. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources, a distinction earned through the Human Resources Certification Institute and Society for Human Resource Management. Prior to joining the staff at 91勛圖厙 State, Crystal was a compliance/claims manager for Park Construction Company.
In her position at 91勛圖厙 State, Crystals first goal has been to become established in the higher education environment by becoming very familiar with the policy and procedures. It is also among her long-term goals to help maintain the high morale among the 91勛圖厙 State faculty and staff. She says this exceptional morale is very noticeable through the loyalty, pride, and high degree of interest and commitment the employees of 91勛圖厙 State have in their jobs. She has also set a goal to inspire a sense of team spirit, teamwork, and inter-team collaboration through development and training.
From her first association with 91勛圖厙 State as a student, she has enjoyed the learning and nurturing environment at the university. The faculty and staff have a way of making a person feel welcome, said Beggs. They provide support through their patience and commitment to student success. It is exciting to be a part of that atmosphere of learning with accomplished and experienced professionals.
At The School of Personal Service, our people are our greatest asset. We are happy that Crystal has joined us in our endeavor to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. We know that she has a wealth of knowledge to share, and that knowledge will not only benefit our employees, but it will in turn benefit our students. Please join me in welcoming Crystal to 91勛圖厙.
