Amber Kuhn is originally from Grand Forks, N.D. and currently resides in Fargo. She finished the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State in August of 2020 and is now enrolled in MSU’s Master of Science in Nursing degree program. She plans to become a nurse educator and teach nursing students at the college level somewhere in North Dakota.
When asked what she loves about 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State, Amber responded, "There are so many things I love about 91³Ô¹ÏÍø! The professors have been so helpful and supportive, and I appreciate each of them. I also like the structure of the five-week block classes in the nursing program, which has made the degree attainable while working full-time."Â
A number of reasons led Amber to choose 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State as the institution where she would further her education. "My first nursing job was at Essentia Health, where I met the dean of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø nursing program, Dr. Tami Such, who first told me about the program," she said. After hearing about 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, I did a lot of research on BSN programs and found that the BSN program was one of the most affordable and it would require less time to complete, which worked perfectly for me and my family. I loved the BSN program so much, when 91³Ô¹ÏÍø offered the MSN program, I knew it was right for me!"
Amber says the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State nursing program will prepare her to teach nursing students to become successful nurses. "This program has helped me become a well-rounded nurse and has prepared me to understand various technologies and teaching styles to better serve many different students," she added. Â
