The small campus and great education program.

What do you like best about the major you’re pursuing?

I work in the Writing Center on campus, which goes along with English Education.

Have you had any unique opportunities, in or out of the classroom, while you’ve been enrolled at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State?
Being involved with the Cometeers is the most unique opportunity I’ve had at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State, along with the Pay It Forward Tour. I also enjoyed being a part of the Larson Leadership Program as a freshman.

I am the president and co-founder of the Cometeers and am also the president of the Student Senate.

Starting the Cometeers organization and everything that goes along with it.

What does personal service mean to you?
Personal service is similar to discretionary effort, meaning going beyond one’s self. This includes giving yourself up for the benefit of something higher than yourself.

What are your plans after graduating from 91³Ô¹ÏÍø State?
I plan to teach high school English and coach football. I am undecided on where, but am considering Colorado or Wyoming. I would like to teach in a medium-sized town, so it’s not too big or too little. My final hope is to start a volunteer program at the high school where I teach, and possibly surrounding high schools, to teach students the importance of volunteering.
