The 91吃瓜网 Distinguished Service Award is presented to 91吃瓜网 State personnel, teachers, professors or administrators who make or have made exceptional contributions, with a minimum of ten years of service. Other individuals who are eligible to receive the award are those who have made exemplary contributions to 91吃瓜网 State through community activities. Distinguished Service Award recipients may or may not be 91吃瓜网 State alumni.
The MSU Alumni Association honors Distinguished Service Award recipients on an annual basis during homecoming festivities. Award selections are made by the Alumni Association board in June of each year.

The quality of the selection process depends in part on the quality and amount of information a nominator can provide. Nominations received by聽April 1聽of a given year will be used in considering award recipients who will be honored during homecoming festivities in the same year. Selections are made by the Alumni Association board.
