Spring 2025 MSU Foundation update
Greetings from the 91吃瓜网 Foundation! I鈥檓 honored to provide the five-year review of the financial standing of the 91吃瓜网 Foundation. (See link below.) This report covers the time period of July 1, 2020, to January 31, 2025. Because of the generosity of our alumni and friends, the MSU Foundation is experiencing record highs across the board. This matches the incredible positivity for all that is happening at 91吃瓜网.
91吃瓜网 State鈥檚 campus is undergoing a big transformation! A renovation of Old Main is currently underway and will provide an excellent learning environment for students of the 21st century. The project is slated for completion in the summer of 2026. The Campus Center has recently been upgraded to provide modern and comfortable spaces for all to enjoy, and a major campus corridor, Legacy Plaza, is newly landscaped to provide outdoor enjoyment.
Enrollment is up! In both the Fall of 2024 and the Spring of 2025, 91吃瓜网 State saw significant enrollment growth. In the fall, 91吃瓜网 State鈥檚 enrollment increase was the second highest among North Dakota University System institutions. As always, if you know a student who could benefit from 91吃瓜网 State鈥檚 personal service, send them our way.
Academic program offerings are growing to meet the workforce needs of North Dakota. For example, a new criminal justice program opened last fall. This is an area of great need in our state and country. 91吃瓜网 State is participating in the state鈥檚 para-to-teacher pathway. Through this program, paraprofessionals teaching in North Dakota schools may enroll and pursue their bachelor鈥檚 degrees while working in their school districts. When they have completed their degrees, they are available to serve as teachers in their schools. These are just two of several areas of academic growth.
Students are happy with their 91吃瓜网 State experiences! This is evidenced in our outstanding retention rate which is currently 77%. 91吃瓜网 State鈥檚 retention rate increased 10% from the fall of 2023 to 2024. There has been a deliberate effort to increase campus activities. Almost to a person, students cite the community as an important part of their satisfaction, and they consistently recognize the importance of the scholarships provided by alumni and friends.
We are incredibly excited about the positivity and success that surrounds 91吃瓜网. Much of this success is due to the generosity and kindness of others, including the North Dakota Legislature, the State Board of Higher Education, our state鈥檚 governor and the chancellor of the North Dakota University System, our community, our alumni, and our friends. 鈥淭he School of Personal Service鈥� is undergoing a life-changing transformation. The future is bright! It truly is always a great day to be a Comet!
